Getting Back on Track
So you’ve taken a break from your workouts. Maybe life got in the way, or perhaps you just needed to recharge. Whatever the reason, don’t worry! It’s completely normal to take a pause in your fitness journey, and in fact, it can even be beneficial. Now, the important thing is to jump back into your fitness routine without stressing or pushing yourself too hard.
Start Slow
You might be eager to make up for lost time but remember, your body has been on a break. Start slow, and gradually build up to your previous exercise level. Overdoing it could lead to injury, and we certainly don’t want that!
Plan Your Workouts
Having a clear plan for your workouts will help you stay consistent and focused. Think about what times and days work best for you, and be sure to include a mix of cardio and strength training. If this feels overwhelming, don’t worry! Our coaches at Westchester Fit are here to help you create a personalized workout plan.
Stay Hydrated
Goodhydration is just as important as your workouts. Make drinking water a routine part of your day, especially before, during, and after exercise.
Set Realistic Goals
Last but certainly not least, set achievable goals. Seeing progress will not only encourage you to keep going but also increase your confidence. Whatever your goals might be, remember, consistency is key.
Re-starting your fitness journey might seem a little intimidating, but remember, every step you take gets you closer to your goals. And the great news is, you don’t have to do it alone!
